TechAssure, the international, nonprofit association of insurance and risk management experts for technology-related risks, will host its 2015 Spring Conference in Charlotte next month (May 4th – 5th). Local TechAssure member, JJ Wade & Associates (2014 CBJ Largest Independent Insurance Brokerage – #17), will host the event, which includes keynotes from Davidson College Men’s Basketball Coach, Bob McKillop, and eBay’s SR. VP of Customer Experience, Steve Boehm. The 2 ½ day event will be held at the Renaissance Hotel SouthPark and will be conducted by TechAssure Executive Director, Garrett Droege (2014 CBJ 40 Under 40).

“Charlotte is the perfect place to host our spring conference, especially since Charlotte is quickly transforming into a technology business epicenter,” said Droege. “We have insurance professionals from all over the world attending this event and sharing best practices with each other. These are the best minds in the industry for tech-related risks, and being able to host it in a place like Charlotte is thrilling.”

The conference is an educational event where an elite insurance broker network gathers to discuss trends in the market, coverage concerns, global risk management, best practices and more. Conference presentations include sessions on: cyber liability, intellectual property risks, emerging technologies, venture capital asset protection & more.

This marks the first time the conference will be held in North Carolina. Past conference locations include: New York City, Paris, Washington DC, Los Angeles, etc. JJ Wade & Associates (Davidson) was asked to join TechAssure in 2011 and currently serves as the only member in the southeast.
